Our Story
Calif Tea House began with a quiet spark a moment of reflection where Nilofer realized that chai was more than a beverage in her home. It was a ritual, a grounding moment, a pause that held together long days, early mornings, and the strength to start again.
Her Maaji, someone who has always believed in standing tall through change, reminded her that the simplest things done with care can bring comfort to many. And chai was one of them. That shared belief planted the earliest seed of Calif.
What began as curiosity grew into learning, experimenting, and blending - until one day, the boldness of Assam and the aroma of Darjeeling found perfect harmony.

December 2021 - The Spark
A humble experiment in the kitchen
December 2022 - Certified
Completed a professional Tea Blending Certification to pursue her craft with intention.
January 2023 - Small-Batch Experiments
Neighbors, relatives and friends started asking for “that chai again.”
March 2023 - Calif Was Born
A brand name inspired by warmth, lightness and freedom.
July 2023 - First 1kg Bags Packed
kitchen turned into a tiny workspace lined with pouches and hope.
2024 - First Customers Beyond Friends
Small batches reached homes outside our circle - and came back with love.
2025 - Building a home in every kitchen
Calif is now open to all.
